Now we’re talking!

The full story is over at Jihad Watch. Here’s an excerpt:

In other words, the overwhelming majority of Muslims in Britain. Yet “opponents say the strategy would brand the vast majority of British Muslims as extremists and alienate them even further.” If a Muslim believes in all the above, he/she has already alienated themselves from UK society; and so, it is a moot point for the UK to worry about “further alienating” them.

“Anti-terror code ‘would alienate most Muslims,'” by Vikram Dodd for the Guardian, February 17:

The government is considering plans that would lead to thousands more British Muslims being branded as extremists, the Guardian has learned. The proposals are in a counterterrorism strategy which ministers and security officials are drawing up that is due to be unveiled next month. Some say the plans would see views held by most Muslims in Britain being classed by the government as extreme.

According to a draft of the strategy, Contest 2 as it is known in Whitehall, people would be considered as extremists if:

• They advocate a caliphate, a pan-Islamic state encompassing many countries.

• They promote Sharia law.

• They believe in jihad, or armed resistance, anywhere in the world. This would include armed resistance by Palestinians against the Israeli military.

• They argue that Islam bans homosexuality and that it is a sin against Allah.

• They fail to condemn the killing of British soldiers in Iraq or Afghanistan.

wow interesting.. however, the point on homosexuality would affect christians and jews as well.. since it doesnt say “slaying” of homosexuals, it says “calling it a sin”

yea the proposal is definitely on a very slippery slope, and there’s no chance it’s going to pass. But the fact that it’s even being proposed speaks volumes about the tensions there. Racial tensions are getting worse and worse all over the world it seems, and there’s one common denominator and it’s NOT the Jews! I’ll let you figure out what it is 😛

    capitalism? it’s capitalism, right?

  4. mikecg says:

John Smith! I thought you’d abandoned to take part in a communist march somewhere! Good to see you’re back in action representing the proletariat!

  5. insaner says:

wait wait.. let me try.. lets see racial tensions.. is communism a race? cuz if the answer isnt capitalism, then it HAS to be communism.. right?

  6. john smith says:

i never left. i would never leave you. i just haven’t felt compelled to post anything for a while is all.
and if i don’t represent the proletariat on this blog, then who will!?
